‘The new performance of new choreographer Angelos Papadopoulos in which he promises from the beginning that within 45 minutes he will answer the question in front of the audience: “What does it mean to make art in Greece today?” -and especially in the angry Athens.
And he keeps his promise through a choreographic and dance-theatrical parkour, in which the viewer watches the artist’s ethical dilemmas and the agony they cause him, then hears the theory that drives his artistic creativity, then sees an ideal that the artist has in mind when he prepares to compose his own work. Until at the end he sees the work the artist has composed, which is a messy conglomeration that results in an amorphous mass, without purpose or cause, which pretends to have a certain depth when it doesn’t… And sadly, things are exactly as this show tells it, which is a movingly melancholy record of the production of every banal mockery that figures as remarkable around us and in the press.’
